Why Weren’t There any Great Women Artists?

Until the 19th century, art came from studios with masters/apprentices with skills passed down. Women weren’t artists for the same reason we weren’t carpenters. Women have never been treated equally in the art world - today we remain dramatically underrepresented & undervalued in museums, galleries & auction houses.
