Science Fiction creates sort of an ideal vision of what might be possible without having to do all the leg work of actually designing it. We write the wish list. Someone else has to fulfill it. Smart glasses aren’t futuristic gadget - they’ve been around for quite some time but contend with idealized design & privacy issues.
