Empathy is not thinking & feeling for the other person, it is thinking & feeling with the other person. In the design process empathy involves discerning where the design/product has real purpose from the other’s point of view, & solving the problem in a way to reflect it.

Artists and scientists alike are focused on exploring the world through introspection, examination and experimentation. Relational Space encourages communication and collaboration among artists, scientists, policy-makers and community activists with focus on marginalized populations and topics of equity and social justice. Our vision sees a more just and sustainable world, inspired by art and transformed through truth.
