Agar Art: a CURE for the Microbiology Laboratory

Agar art is where colonies of pigmented microbes are painted or drawn onto agar medium using sterilized applicators. Students report higher engagement with agar art than other methodologies & increased embrace of science as a system for constructing knowledge.
