Paper-Folding Art Reduced to the Nanoscale in Engineering Breakthrough

A team of scientists has taken Kirigami, a a traditional art form of Japanese paper folds and cuts, down to the nanoscale for the first time, a breakthrough they say opens up new possibilities in applications ranging from robotics to aerospace.
