Incarcerated artists are creating powerful art problematizing mass incarceration & elevating the human experience of isolation & punishment. Participation in prison arts programs is associated with educational and vocational outcomes & social emotional outcomes such as community connection, skill attainment, and self-efficacy.

Artists and scientists alike are focused on exploring the world through introspection, examination and experimentation.
